About me

A few things I think you may be interested in knowing

Daughter of a ceramist father and teacher at the National School of Fine Arts (Udelar), and a mother dedicated to programming and technology, I always debated between Science and Arts. That led me to develop a curious mind. So I started studying science, to later understand that my path is art (better late than never).

I love to experiment with all the materials and techniques that cross my way and apply them to my art. I am fluent in different painting techniques, both with acrylics and oils; also various traditional illustration techniques with watercolors, ink, graphite, charcoal. I also am skilled in the digital world. My father taught me the magic of ceramics when I was a child and when I grew up, I began to find the magic of materiality in embroidery threads and other materials.

Trying to match my interests, I graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences, with a mainly Audiovisual orientation. This journey led me to produce and host a radio show for more than a decade and currently I am part of the board of Broadcastle, a geek content production company that streams its programs on twitch.

n 2022 my path crossed with that of 3 other female artists living in Uruguay, and we formed the collective Oníricas.

I seek that my art, whatever technique in which is developed, makes the viewer feel immersed in the work and in the story it tells. I try to make my work open to interpretation, because even if I believe that the artist bares a bit of his soul when he creates, I also believe that art sometimes works as a mirror for the conciousness of the viewer. And I am confident this adds to the value of the work.
